Hoo's Ready To Rock

Party

22nd, 23rd & 24th July 2005.

After months of planning, Thursday 21st July finally arrived and the setting up of our second party started in earnest with great expectations for a super weekend.

A photo of Bob Perkins leading from the front!

Centre 15 members who could get time off work turned up on the cloudy but dry Thursday to lend a hand. After a frantic day things were all in place and the crew “even managed” a few beers in preparation for Friday morning when our guest started to arrive.

To be greeted by men from the funny farm.

Big Al  And a dodgy looking mob!

Tent city was now starting to take shape with members from other centres arriving and setting up home for the weekend.

Friday night soon was upon us, our resident DJ; Bald-Eagle had set up and was starting rock the night away.

We did book the band, Headlong, for Saturday night only, but they said they wanted to get a “feel” for the crowd and so decided to give a short show on Friday night.

Although we had not planned an official rideout for Saturday our man, Dave “Odin” Ellis decided an impromptu one was in order and led a small group on a little run to Leysdown and arrived back,

Just before the Games began!!!!!!!!!

Chips, Bob, Gibbo and Captain Chaos had decided that to make the party a bit of fun we would have a couple of “silly” games, slow riding, throw the water filled balloon (over a bar, 10 foot up in the air, and catch it again) and the FROZEN tee-shirt competitions.

    Slow Riding

   Balloon Throwing

And finally THE FROZEN TEE- SHIRT competition,

Note Bill’s technique for de-frosting!!!!!

Bill’s team was 1st to get the frozen tee-shirt unfolded and on. Would you wanted to have been on the winning team after the technique above?????

Dave (Chips) Wilson had bit of a brain wave. To keep the troops entertained between the games and the disco/band starting for the evening. He decided to invite two magicians to come along and bemuse us for an hour, strange for a biker’s party, but didn’t they go down a storm. Two and a half later they left, leaving people with the burning question,

“ How did they do that”?

Brilliant idea, well done Chips.

Time for the Disco and band to keep all entertained again until the early hours, plenty of beer, Dancing and beer!!!! (The VSOC like beer).

All through out the weekend raffle tickets were being sold, a mention to Steve, for a brilliant job, well done for selling shit loads of tickets!

Also a word of thanks to all of the centre 15 members for their donations of prizes but a special thanks to Ray Nicholson (Dumbo) who managed to secure some top goodies for the raffle from various clients during his working day and some terrific prizes from Yamaha (UK).

  A fair selection of prizes?

With plenty of helpers on hand!!

All too quickly Sunday morning was upon us and Centre 15’s party was coming to an end. Unfortunately the good old English weather had taken a turn for the worse over night and the rain set in for the day. Our spirits were not be dampened though as leaving guest, with rain bouncing off their helmets, all passed on their thanks to us for an excellent party.

Thanks to all from centre 15, The Sturdy Club, Hoo, the Band, disco, the sponsors and you the guest for their help in making

“Hoo’s Ready To Rock”

A party to remember!!!
